Weekend happenings.
Well for a change Adam did not have to much work stuff to do over the weekend so we had a really nice weekend being together.
We traveled to Dumfries to get some steel for a spit braai that we (the royal we with Adam doing most of the work)are planning to make. Adam bought a motor over the internet - I am not sure of the specifications but apparently the gearing allows it to do 3rpm. This should be enough for the spit as we do not want to have to catch pieces of meat as it is flung off of the carcass. I am sure that Elijah would not mind, but the aim of the spit-braai is not to feed the dog. The motor was so expensive that I have threatened that every braai from now on is going to be a spit so that we can get our moneys worth. Hopefully we can make use of it soon, as soon as Adam can do the welding (for which we had to buy a welding machine) and the drilling (for which Adam twisted my arm for a drill press) and then I can get going with the painting (for which we had to buy a paint brush) - sorry if I disappointed you with my very boring purchase.
When we eventually got home (at 16:30) we watched a harry Potter movie then for a change got an early night.
Sunday appeared dull and very rainy. In fact we would probably have got to church quicker in a boat than a car but we would have arrived very wet. I was on tea duty after church. The first time I was on and I really enjoyed getting to know some of the people of Ballantrae and the surrounding area. For lunch we had some super delicious Steak pies that are made by the local butcher with the finest Scottish steak - far superior to English beef and proceeded to another Harry potter and a James bond movie and then the weekend was over.
