AHEM v0.6 Released

14 April 2007

Coming just under two weeks after the release of 0.5, v0.6 is another really significant development. This release is mainly about playing strength, and is much stronger than 0.5. In addition, a number of useful capabilities (like saving games to Portable Morabaraba Notation, copying/pasting positions, copying board diagrams to the clipboard etc) have been added to the Graphical User Interface. The next release will probably be a bit longer in the making, so get your teeth into 0.6!

AHEM v0.5 Released

1 April 2007

A brisk three weeks after the release of 0.4, version 0.5 has been released. A major step forward, this version includes:

  • GUI which supports both Linux and Windows
  • Support for MSSA's "machine gunning" rule
  • Assorted bugs fixed
  • A number of small performance enhancements

You can get it from the Morabaraba pages. Work on version 0.6 are already under way; features which you can look out for are a web-based version, improvements to the GUI as well as the Free Internet Morabaraba Server. Playing strength may also be improved.

AHEM v0.4 Released

11 March 2007

After languishing since the New Year, an update to AHEM has been released. This release includes:

  • Minor bug fixes and feature enhancements
  • Conversion to Mind Sports SA standard Morabaraba move notation
  • Created Win32 command-line binary

You can get it from the usual place. A little bird told me that the release cycle for 0.5 should be a bit quicker, and should include the first cut of the AJAX UI for those who are allergic to command lines.
